The Payroll and Reward Brunch Moves to a New Home

Since January 2021, I have been more than pleased to host the monthly Payroll and Reward Brunch.?? This aims to bring topical and up-to-date information to payroll and reward professionals, always back-up by recordings of the session and pdf slides.

I deliberately named the monthly session as targeted at payroll and reward professionals, as this reflects what we do in real life.? As well as having the overriding responsibility of ensuring that payrolls are run on time and accurately, we are more than payroll professionals and need to give ourselves credit for that.????

To pay people requires not only knowledge of taxation and social security but also such things as HR operations, employment law, pensions, benefits-in-kind, obligations to finance etc.??

Payroll is paying people, though paying people requires us to be reward professionals as well.

On the last Thursday of each month, the Brunch simply reflects the timing of the event - after breakfast but before lunch.? Hosted via Zoom, this is my opportunity to share facts, thoughts and knowledge for the benefit of payroll and reward professionals.??

Over the years, I have spoken to thousands of you and I am always grateful for the questions and interactions we have on our monthly session.

Things evolve and it is time to move to a host that is supportive of these Brunches.

In partnership with them, my focus of the Brunches will remain the same:?

• Imparting relevant information to the payroll and reward profession for the benefit of the profession plus
• Always approaching this from the view ‘what does it actually mean in practice?’
