Pay Forward a Smile...

Pay Forward a Smile...

One of my proudest projects to date was one that I completed in my garage at home earlier this year, I was not looking for a return on investment, or trying to sell anything. It was purely out of wanting to be apart of a two second moment that happened when the cover was lifted off, that smile of pure innocent joy you receive from your children that words cannot explain. The short version of the story goes something like this ...

It started off with a used power wheels bike I received from a relative, it needed a little more than a battery...

So out came the tools and the project began, this is what the bike looks like in one pile, I definitely found parts and assembly diagrams before stripping it apart...

A little bit of creativity and some paint goes a long way...

The fun part was keeping this all hidden away until it was all assembled, decals applied, new batteries installed and ready for the big unveil to my biggest fan... he was a little shocked it was the same bike and after the initial burst of excitement the perma-grin lasted all night.

Moral, (because I always have one in my articles)

Be creative, be constructive, and never stop trying to put smiles on people's faces. Especially the ones who are looking back up at you, they will learn to pay it forward faster than you think.

Some more views of the finished product:

If the Oilfield ever lets me down maybe I can start a Power Wheels restoration business?

Thank you for reading and have a safe summer, all the best to you and in your life adventures!
