#pavilioncmosummit2024 was a killer event! Yes, it was all about the people. The three words to describe them- warmth, generosity, fun!

My favorite moment - the “gift of high expectations”. That gift leads to firm conviction, action, outcomes: if you want it, you can do it!

Latané Conant (she/her) , hands down, is one of the most magnetic people of our time. She connects and inspires like no other; her “say it like it is" on the most complex and sensitive topics is beyond refreshing.?

Turns out, there is more than one way to build a scalable revenue engine - the one common thread thought is full sales and marketing alignment and collab. Ajay Manglani session was super insightful on that topic:

For the PLG fans, turns out you CAN combine #PLG and #ABM:

If the CMO Summit ended right after Ajay, I would have still said it was a great event. But wait - then ?? Victoria Frederika A. came on stage. What a power house - and data junkie, to boot. Wait, that is not fair - she is actually an insights junkie. My top takeways from the massive data and research INFUSE sits on:

  • The most important thing marketers and sales leaders can do this year to drive growth: derisk the buy.
  • Byers are doing their homework - esp. Millennials. You can’t reach Millennials the way you reached GenXers

  • Look at them buyer journeys, folks!!!

The good news? If you get to them first, you have 84% if winning the deal. Brand-to-demand - there is no other way to get to the win.

How to win your Board and keep your job? Fantastic panel moderated by the one and only Kathleen Booth with Gary Survis and Rani Hublou


  • Boards hate suprises
  • Boards are there to help you address the challanges and gaps - they are not there to hear you grew traffic to your website, or you reached your MQL quota. If you drum that beat, you will likely be out of a job quickly.
  • CMOs have major and minor super powers - the super powers most valued by VCs: product marketing and demand gen. Beyond knowing your major and minor powers, know how to hire for your minor.

Love the simplicity of just asking customers if they would renew!! We can do the same thing with our prospects! "Based on what you know today, would you feel confident of your success with our solution? (0-10). What do we need to provide you so you can answer a 10?"
