Pause, To Rewind Again

It's time to take a pause so that we can play again 

It's time to think of everyone but to meet no one 

Give generously and keep animosity at bay,

Our mother earth needs a unanimous say,

Pause, to rewind again! 

Factories, offices, schools and playgrounds are shut.

We need to Switch off to move on again.

It is said that United we stand and divided we fall, 

But today, being separated, we are more united than ever!

Today our main strength is to stay apart; 

It's time to stop and reflect!

It's time to relive the old memories in anticipation of a better tomorrow!

Nature, landscape, seashores and monuments are not going anywhere; 

They will still be there waiting for a better time to be lived.

Parties, social gatherings and holy rituals can wait too,

But our lives cannot be put at stake!

It's the perfect time for self introspection, 

To think of ourselves and to think of everyone else too, 

To think of our dreams and work on them; 

Sometimes to rise, it's better to stand still,

The faster we stop, the sooner we will bond again!

Pause, my friend, is the only cure, 

To heal from what could be a massacre!
