Paul, Christian Worker - Teaching

"And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house," - Acts 20:20

Paul gave his entire life to teach others about the Lord after his salvation. He was so engulfed in teaching others that it would eventually lead to his death by those who cared not to learn. Paul teaches us a tremendous concept on leadership though. He spent his efforts seeking people out to teach, people to mentor in the faith. He was willing to give all that he knew to another to improve them. We read, "and I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you." Paul gave all he could to improve others.

True servant leadership lies in the desire to improve the lives of those you are leading. Paul, was more concerned about their futures then his own. It would cost him his life. Where do you draw the line on helping others? Paul had drawn the line at the end of his own life. He refused to not educate people. He wanted them to know what he knew. It drove him. As leaders we should be driven to do the same for those in our command. We should treat them as a shepherd treats a flock. Correct when necessary, but always nurture and protect.

Paul, was just a man who loved God. He was not doing the unattainable when it comes to teaching others. We should follow his example and give ourselves to building up those under our leadership.
