Pats Problem Solving Made Simple

Pats Problem Solving Made Simple

So, I'm going to give you a brief tutorial on 'Pat's Problem Solving Made Simple'...in case you want to use it or adapt it to you.

Step One: Identify the real problem.

Seems simple, but sometimes what you see is the symptom, not the root cause.

Step Two: If you need it, give yourself a very short window to be upset.

If you're frustrated, fine. Angry, ok. Give yourself a moment to lean into it and then move forward.

Step Three: Employ a quick Mindset Makeover.

If you're suffering from self doubt, identify why you can succeed.

Think about how far you've come...not just how far you have to go.

Look at past experiences that give you evidence that you can do it.

Borrow confidence if needed - others have been through this...if they can, you can.

Step Four: Seek Solutions.

Start looking for the solutions you need.

They may be found anywhere, so 'start close and work your way out.'

What have you done in the past that might work?

Where are the most direct places to find proven solutions?

Who do I have access to that can help?

Step Five: Act & Connect.

Start taking actions...no matter how small.

Action creates momentum, not the other way around.

And stay connected.

Personally, I believe that failure loves isolation and success loves connection.

Surround yourself with people who will lift you up.

People who are eager to help.

A business may be individually owned, but it's success is ALWAYS a team effort.

And all the same stuff holds true outside of business too.

This is the same stuff that helped me navigate Alex being really sick a few years ago...and it's also the same gameplan I used to navigate the pandemic.

Again, you don't have to adopt my approach...but you need an approach.

Challenges are inevitable.

Choosing to respond in a way that leads to success is optional.

Dedicated to Your Success,

Pat
