Patreon Crowdfunding Model
A fellow game developer friend of mine has quit his day jobs to make game(s) full time and he sent me a link to support his en devour. I was expecting Kickstarter or Indiegogo, but instead its a new model (well, not sure how new), called "Patreon" that's more based on supporting the artist monthly for generating new media and milestones rather than a project or product per se.
Interesting... Looks like some people on the front page are making $1000's of doing this and more or less created jobs for themselves. Pretty cool.
