Yaay! It’s my birthday guys…

So late last year, with no venue or means in mind, I started fantasying about celebrating my birthday in a special way by having my own self-themed concert and the voices also started to discourage me. “Who knows you, you don’t even sing, you’re still struggling with your guitar, no one will attend your event and all the self-sabotaging talks etc.”.

I started to convince myself by myself, “But I love good music, I can read poetry, I can sing like no one is listening, and also engage my musically talented friends, we sing Karaoke, dance, eat and be merry.”! I had this argument in my head until Covid19 happened. Then in May I told my Graphic designer guy what I thought of and told him to remind me in July, that if all things went back to normal, I’d still do my Concert in a cozy lounge but as it is, lounges are not even in full operations yet. 

So my safe bet is to host the virtual edition and I cannot be more grateful for the digital life and the good people in my life that gave me a nudge and inspired me to do this. Although this year’s edition is a virtual concert, we will evolve into a bigger physical one.

#PatObilorLiveinConcert is an annual Praise party poised to celebrate God's goodness, feed the needy, and also showcase talents and crafts in Music, dance, drama, poetry and entertainment.

For the charity giving, please Feel free to DM me or contact us for donations @pocafoundation as all proceeds goes to "Pat Obilor Charity for Africa" (POCA Foundation) which is used to provide for the less privileged and secure funding for youth education.
