It’s extraordinary how redneck politicians are willing to commit mayhem to stop the government from helping their own people.

The governor of Mississippi blocks federal money to help his COVID-ravaged residents to pay their rent, even though the money is free.

Both Kentucky Senators block a cap on insulin prices even though their own state has half a million diabetics who can’t afford insulin.

Florida’s governor stopping his teachers from teaching real history or real science or literature or even math, nothing about tolerance or decency, this ensuring that Florida’s children grow up into stupid and cruel adults.

One Republican statehouse after another blocking Medicaid expansion, to prevent their own poor rednecks from getting care.

Blocking bills to stop price gouging against rednecks filling their trucks with gas, bills to help veterans from redneck country who got hurt in Bush’s wars, bills to keep guns away from Texas schools. But supporting bills to rob redneck old folks of their Social Security and Medicare.

Flipping the bird at all the aging Reagan Republicans who believed in law enforcement, protecting national security, balancing the budget.

And their voters cheer. Their voters are not only willing to vote for fascist Republicans at every level, and disqualify voting blocs they don’t approve of. They threatened and literally shot Democrats for the terrible crime of making health care affordable in redneck country. They are now threatening violence because their felonious leader is about to be arrested for selling our nuclear secrets and the identities of our spies, a traitor who made Americans unsafe.

So, how stupid are these rednecks? Would they really prefer to allow the Republican party to destroy our country and all our institutions, just so rednecks can rule over the smoking rubble and lord it over women and minorities and gays?
