Path to Paid Professional Speaking

The reason I add ‘professional’ before ‘speaking’ is simply that I’m not talking about pitching from the platform or addressing the local Chamber of Commerce. I’m talking about serious professional speakers who get well paid for their expertise.

Here’s how:

1.???Develop a powerful value proposition that provides huge value to organizations and audiences.?What do you care about most??

2.???Use colloquial rather than academic words; simple powerful words grab attention.?

3.???Your expertise and topics will define the audiences who’ll find value from your speech.

4.???Your personal platform requires a strong value proposition, 3 different yet congruent speeches with 3-5 benefits of each, a great photo and outstanding graphics as well as testimonials and a client list.

5.???Videos are a great asset in the speaking world.?And sometimes the most powerful are those you do yourself.?Brief is better!

6.???A strong social media presence is essential for increasing influence. Mastering Linked In should be your first priority.

7.???Continuous learning is required these days.?You’re up for that, right?

8. Assist the meeting planners by making this an unforgettable speech.

9. If planners or audience members give you great feedback, ask if you can quote them.

10. Finally, imagine yourself in the audience....would you want to hear this speech? Of course you would! And so will your audience.
