Path of Greed and Destruction

We have seen greed in many guises playing out on the planet. We have seen people making up excuses for the roles they play in spreading the greed. It's too easy to point the figure at the wealthiest among us or on world governments. But while those entities spread greed like wildfire burning across the Earth, even the everyday person has participated.
I'll give an example that is going to slam realtors and landlords in the near future. Landlords, developers, and realtors have enjoyed a ride into profits and acquisition for decades, with a dip occurring between 2008 and 2012, but even then, the big banks and financial institutions screamed "victim" and were rewarded for their greed. But now the tides are changing and part of this is astrological.
Astrological Markers of This Era
Astrology works on a practical level. While there are magical components of astrological transits and calling upon the energies of the cosmos, most of astrology can be viewed in practical terms. Astrologers work with metaphors and archetypes even going as far as to attribute masculine or feminine energy to planets and asteroids. And yet, it still works because as humans we understand archetypes and stories more than we understand rotations and gravity or the alignment of particular planetary signatures.
Those people stuck in acquisition and greed will experience their karmic return in the near future. Here's how I see it playing out. And please understand that greed doesn't discriminate. Anyone can be acting from greed and selfishness no matter their income status, race, ethnic group, age, or gender. The Spanish movie maker Luis Bunuel gave a good example of this in his movie, Viridiana in which peasants trashed the home of a nun who was set out to help the peasants. (You might want to watch the classic movie).
Greed, Acquisition, and Exploitation of Renters and Home Buyers
But the example I'm going to share is with the housing markets. Thousands of tenants have kept their homes because of rental assistance programs. These programs are needed for people with disabilities who can't work and those folks who do work but don't earn three times the amount of their rent. Some people work more than one job to keep a roof over their heads and still receive some form of government assistance.
(Without rental assistance many workers will lose their homes. This means the people we count on for goods and services as well as, keeping our communities safe and clean won't be able to fulfill those roles. Our cities and towns will suffer. This will have a domino effect).
Due to the increasing rents, especially justified by landlords after the pandemic (as if they're the only one who have suffered economically) have eaten up the rental assistant funds. So, now, at least in Vermont, thousands of people face eviction just as the weather is about to turn colder. Property management companies also won't accept an applicant for a rental if all their funds don't add up to three times the amount of the rent.
Faulty Economics
That means a person who earns $1,000 to $2,000 a month won't be able to secure a home that rents for $1,400 or more a month. And in Vermont, most of the subsidized housing goes to the elderly (who no longer contribute to the labor market), disabled people, and substance-abusers with the occasional low-income worker or family getting into the housing. No one is going to want to work at a job if they're surviving a harsh winter living in a tent, camper, or car or couch surfing.

Some landlords are also asking for last month's rent along with first month's rent and a security deposit the same price as the rent. And fewer landlords are covering utilities. In small towns and cities in Vermont, rents are increasing to $1,400 and up for a one-bedroom. So this means, the average single person worker must earn $4,000 a month to cover that rent. But if a person, such as myself, is her own employer, then I have to deduct 15% self-employment tax and pay an additional income tax in the state of Vermont.
Then based on what the average landlord is charging for rent plus utilities, and Internet service, I don't have much money left over to put back into my business or to use for food, clothing, travel, and other expenses or to put in savings. I'm in my fifties and I have no money saved for my future. I don't think I'll retire and need to keep working to keep a roof over my head.
Planetary Transits Play a Role
What's happening is Pluto, the planet that focuses on our shadows and deepest psychological wounds has been in a survival Earth Sign, Capricorn since 2008. Yes, that's right, Pluto transiting into Capricorn brought on the economic events of 2008 onward. It brought out greed and corruption in each of us because we're all part of the same collective. You can't separate anyone person's behavior from the collective. And everything you do ripples into the collective as with anything I do or say or even think. Humans forget they have this power to create based on even a single thought that keeps repeating itself.
Neptune in Pisces (as it's finishes up a tour around the Zodiac Wheel) has created mass hypnosis and spun illusions through the entertainment business, the advertising industry, and the media (think social media). But now Mars which is transiting in Gemini (words, language, short distance travel, learning, mental processes) will be challenging the energies spun by Neptune in Pisces until the end of March 2023. But Neptune also represents spiritual practices and new age gurus. We will see what's real and what's just another narcissistic pursuit or person.
Uranus in Taurus is the bull crashing the money markets and big financial institutions. This is powerful revolutionary energy. Then when Pluto dips into the revolutionary energy of Aquarius in 2023 briefly and then again launches a 20+ year stay in Aquarius starting in January of 2024, we will experience monumental changes starting with the grassroots up instead of the big governments down. But I doubt we will experience any of the political or economic structures currently in place (all have faults). We will create something entirely new since Neptune will transit into Aries (new cycle) in 2025.
So, where am I going with this? The planets are asking each of us to face our shadows and that includes the shadow of greed that resides in each of us. We can't expect the people at the top to get their acts together if we don't heal ourselves. Once we heal ourselves we come up with solutions and resolutions to the problems we face in the world, one of them which is keeping people housed.
End of my Long and Windy Article (Keep Reading)
And on a final note, those people who participate in the greed and destruction will fall hard. They will be slammed by darker energies which they spun in the first place. What goes around comes around. Landlords are going to lose the shirts on their backs. They will downsize and keep downsizing until some of them are living in a trailer in the backyard of a son or daughter or nephew. While some people reading this are scoffing, they won't be scoffing for long. As a metaphysical practitioner, I have seen karma bite people. You get back what you put out. If you release poison of any type in the world, you will swallow that poison at some point.
Become mindful of your actions. Become mindful of the way you exploit others so that you can turn a profit. No one is going to be fooled by gaslighting any longer or societal narcissists who do good with one hand and then slap others with the other hand. Each of us is accountable for whether we spread love or fear and suffering. There are no excuses, not even from landlords who lost revenue during the pandemic. Everyone lost money except the largest corporations who profited from the suffering. But the Creator will take care of them.

2 年Well done, Patricia! I agree with everything you are saying. I've been the recipient of criminal activity and real estate fraud through a corrupt mortgage company. The realtors and landlords who will succeed are those with hearts. Americans didn't need a repeat performance of the past. All of this could have been prevented through common sense and higher awareness.
