The Path to Abundance.

Wealth is bigger than money. ?

I recently had a coaching client who identified "wealth" as one of her core values. She explained that wealth, for her, meant three things: knowledge to make good decisions and raise great kids; recognition for your contributions; and security for the people and causes you care about.

I was enlivened by her definition. When you see abundance as a path to things that are meaningful to you, it's easy to pursue it with your whole heart. ?

Could overwhelm actually be abundance? ?

As a person who's interested in everything and tends to overcommit, I often end up feeling overwhelmed. When I lamented this to a friend who works in the field of psychology, she reframed the situation. “It sounds to me like you have the opposite of depression,” she said. "Depression is the sense that nothing is worth doing, and you have the sense that everything is worth doing. Your life is full, and you are fully engaged in it. That’s the picture of good mental health.” ?

This felt profound. Instead of beating myself up about managing my schedule, I could celebrate having a full and beautiful life that I want to squeeze every delicious minute out of.

Ok, here's how to make $4 million in 21 days. ?

A few years back,?I invited a friend to join a group doing Deepak Chopra’s 21-Day Abundance Meditation Course.?A few months later, she was gifted 4 million dollars. (Truth.) My results, while decidedly more modest, were also undeniably positive.

For centuries, people have used various forms of meditation to cultivate abundance, because it works. But how? Meditation experts say it's a mindset shift. With a so-called 'abundance mindset,' you assume opportunities are there for you rather than closing off possibilities; you actively seek out those opportunities and you recognize and pursue them when they present themselves.?

Where you look, you will leap. ?

Wishing you an abundant holiday!

An insanely abundant world surrounds us: nature, food, animals, loved ones, and even our own events and plans. May you rejoice in all of it and continue to create more of it.

And if you decide to try meditating-for-millions, let me know how it goes!

Overwhelm as… abundance. Love that recasting! Wanting to squeeze every delicious minute out of life is a reflection of the abundance that is already within us – and wanting to be expressed by us. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, all we need to do is receive… and be grateful.?
