A Pat on the Back

A Pat on the Back

Happy new year, orthopedic tech enthusiasts! I hope your first few weeks of 2025 have been a happy and healthy start to the year.

This month I've focused on the backbone of the orthopedic industry...the spine!

In 1909, a German surgeon, Dr. Fritz Lange, was the first to perform spinal fusion surgeries on patients with scoliosis. Dr. Lange revolutionized spinal fusion practice by straightening the spine with celluloid bars, steel, and silk wiring—which is actually quite similar to modern stabilization techniques.

Recline back, relax, and check out the latest and greatest in spine technology. And if you're like me sitting at a computer all day to work, make sure to get up and stretch once in while to keep your posture healthy!
