Pastors – Challenge your congregation this Thanksgiving!

Now is the time to climb out of the bunker and move your congregation forward in the Lord and his purposes!!

?Post-pandemic you have most likely seen your church's active congregation reduced significantly with no significant turnaround on the horizon.

?Over the last year-and-a-half many congregants have gone the way of the majority of dropout believers - they no longer are an active part of the body of Christ- the local church. Unfortunately no amount of invitations and cajoling will change this statistic.

?However, you can impart to your congregation during this time of family gatherings around Thanksgiving a powerful tool. Encourage each one to become an instrument God can use to restore dropout believers.

?Here are three things you can share with your congregation as Thanksgiving approaches.

?1.????Ask the Lord to remind you of two people in your circle of influence that used to be active in the body of Christ - the local church.

?2.????Begin to pray specifically for those two that the Lord will convict them and convince them the need for them to rejoin the body of Christ for their sake and for the sake of the body.( Don't preach to them-only pray!)

?3.????Commit to developing a relationship of restoration with them in this coming year that will serve to demonstrate the love of Christ for them personally.

?As the world and culture grows increasingly dark and antagonistic to Christian faith the day is rapidly approaching and now is, that a dropout believer will no longer be able to sustain their wavering faith without the body of Christ.

?There is a powerful biblical strategy to building a relationship of restoration leading to reconnection to the church for the dropout believer. It works.

?This is the will of God for his people - to seek after the one in 99 that has wandered away. Oh and incidentally, the church will be blessed significantly!

?Pastors -repost this to other pastors that are in your circle of influence and let's get on with rebuilding the church today!!
