Passivhaus Trust
Leading the way in the UK for adoption of the Passivhaus standard and methodology
What a month! Post-brexit, it’s difficult to know where the policy landscape lies, let alone what the actual UK policies are going to be. We’ve therefore joined forces with a number of other organisations to lobby for the retention of the Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) target and to promote the need for exemplary approaches to building refurbishment, in the hope that collective action is more powerful than going it alone!
Congratulations to HLM Architects for scooping the award in the Rural category for Tigh na Croit and Tectonics Architects whose Lansdowne Drive project was victorious in the Urban category at the 2016 UK Passivhaus Awards ceremony.
We’re pressing ahead with our custom-build campaign and have started planning for a similar campaign to encourage Local Authorities to adopt Passivhaus on their own projects.
All of this and much more will be discussed at the 2016 UK Passivhaus Conference in October, when we hope that things might be a bit clearer! Book your tickets now and join in the conversation…….
