Passion Vs Money?

All or nothing! That was me many years ago. As an Aries if you believe in astrology, I always like to win. I was never scared of failure because simply I was sure that I would find another way to win. It might sound weird but trust me I always found a way to get what I wanted.

My only problem was that I could only be so determined when I was passionate about something. I have a question for you and that's our article today. Shall we do what our passions are or can passion be limited to our hobby? My partner many times says to me that I only excel in what I like doing. To be honest to me that's the only thing that makes sense. Why wasting most of your life in doing something that you hate or dislike? The most common question I get is ' because I need money '. You can always earn money by changing a job or doing something else.

Of course I have done less likebable things in order to achieve my goals but I was never hating what I was doing because I had a goal, a purpose. How would you feel if you had a goal? For example, I taught my kids that it is okay to get presents etc as long as they have earned it. Elias was doing housework, cooking for me so I had food ready made when I came back to work. He didn't hate doing all that but he would prefer to do nothing and still get his new iPhone, right? We used to have a housekeeper and they got a little bit spoiled including myself. Being an adult doesn't mean that we don't need reminders and life lessons.

It can be challenging to follow your heart or your passion. I would say it is important to do things that make you smile most of the times. I love training and spreading awareness about First Aid but there are times that I am tired especially if I have driven many hours but I never go home feeling sad for my day. If you realize that we may die tomorrow you wouldn't wanted to waste your life by being sad. If you are in a job that you are not passionate about then try to define your purpose. For example, there was a time that I was doing a job that I wasn't excited but I wanted to buy a car. Having that as my outcome, my purpose made every day worth it. I resigned as soon as I had the budget I needed.

Have you seen a ship without having a destination? I used to feel like a lost ship to be honest for years, especially when I was in the corporate world. I found my purpose after I "retired" from Tax planning and got involved in Learning and Development. Our life purpose can change but the outcome will be the same. After I lost my best friend a few months ago I lost my world. Helping people through my teaching, blogs, videos, this newsletter reminded me my life purpose. She would like me keep helping people to improve their lives and obtain a healthy lifestyle.

What is your purpose? What keeps you going? Go back a few years ago. Aren't you in a better position now? If not, maybe you haven't defined well your purpose. Having a purpose justifies your sufferings and struggles. When you struggle and you succeed at your goal, the feeling that you will have is indescribable.
