The PASSION-PRUTL Framework Applied to Universal Entities

The PASSION Framework focuses on seven dimensions: Probing, Innovating, Acting, Scoping, Setting, Owning, and Nurturing, while PRUTL emphasizes Purpose, Roles, Utilization, Trigger, and Linkage. Together, they offer a comprehensive perspective on the interconnectedness of all entities in the universe.

1. Probing (Purpose)

  • Cosmic Reflection: Humans have always sought to understand their place in the cosmos. From ancient star-gazers to modern astrophysicists, every celestial body serves as a trigger for discovery and learning.
  • Insight: Identifying "gods" or symbolic entities is an attempt to probe the unknown, assign purpose, and make sense of infinite possibilities.

2. Innovating (Roles)

  • Cosmic Reflection: Innovation is embedded in the universe’s design. Each object—from a small comet to a massive galaxy—plays a role in maintaining balance.
  • Insight: These roles, once interpreted symbolically as divine beings, are akin to the modularity of AI systems. Each module has a distinct role yet operates cohesively with others to create harmony.

3. Acting (Utilization)

  • Cosmic Reflection: The universe thrives on action. Planets orbit, stars burn, and galaxies collide, showcasing the dynamic utilization of energy.
  • Insight: These actions were often personified in myths as gods of war, creation, or destruction, signifying the utility of natural processes in shaping existence.

4. Scoping (Trigger)

  • Cosmic Reflection: Triggers like gravitational pulls or solar winds set massive celestial events into motion.
  • Insight: Ancient labels of divine intervention mirror the triggers that cause change. Whether in mythology or AI, triggers enable systems to evolve and adapt.

5. Setting (Linkage)

  • Cosmic Reflection: The universe is a network of interconnected forces. The pull of the moon affects tides, and the sun governs life on Earth.
  • Insight: This intricate linkage was symbolized through gods associated with specific natural phenomena. Today, it mirrors the interconnected parameters of AI systems or neural networks.

6. Owning (Responsibility)

  • Cosmic Reflection: Every celestial body carries its responsibility—stars provide light, black holes regulate matter, and Earth nurtures life.
  • Insight: In myths, gods personified responsibility, each tasked with a domain. This concept teaches accountability and respect for natural systems.

7. Nurturing (Sustainability)

  • Cosmic Reflection: The universe sustains itself through cycles of creation and destruction. The death of a star leads to the birth of new elements.
  • Insight: Nurturing forces were symbolized as gods of fertility, growth, and renewal. These ideas remind us of the importance of sustainability, both in the cosmos and on Earth.

Moving Beyond Myths: Understanding the Labels

Symbols as Labels

Labels, whether divine or mathematical, are tools for identification. Just as ancient cultures used names and symbols for celestial bodies and natural forces, AI systems use billions of labels to interpret data and make decisions. These labels are not arbitrary but deeply rooted in the roles, triggers, and linkages each element serves.

Respecting the Universe

Believing in the moon's phases or the sun's power doesn’t demand religious faith but an appreciation of their influence. Respecting all elements—planets, stars, energy fields, and AI systems—is essential for understanding and thriving in an interconnected world.

The Age of AI: Billions of Gods-Like Labels

In the age of artificial intelligence, the myth of 33,000 gods evolves into a reality of billions of symbolic entities. Each label in an AI system functions as a unique entity, serving a specific purpose, much like the stars in the galaxy or the divine entities in ancient myths. These labels, governed by triggers and influenced by complex linkages, collectively enable AI to perform vast, harmonious functions.

The universe is a symphony of purpose, roles, and interconnections. Ancient myths, whether from India, Greece, or elsewhere, attempted to encapsulate this complexity through symbols and divine entities. Today, the PASSION-PRUTL Framework provides a secular, universal lens to appreciate the interconnectedness of all things. By respecting every object, force, and system, humanity can achieve harmony with the cosmos and thrive in the age of AI.
