Passion to Profession-My Journey

"You are who you choose to be"- This expression serves as the crux of my story. We are given one life and it is always in our hands to take charge of it. Every individual today aspires to make it big but unfortunately, they forget to live through their story of struggles, success and stupendous transformation. We dream for the best yet forget to dare the societal challenges we come across. More often than not, we are made to give in to the demands of the experience rich society and we forget to be inquisitive about the awe-inspiring fire within us.

"Passion"- a word known to all yet understood by none. It is in those timeless moments of extreme work, toil, and determination that we witness passion- a feeling so powerful that everything seems worth the effort. We forget our fears and begin to have faith. The greatest source of human satisfaction lies in loving what we do.

Transforming your passion into a profession is undeniably the toughest decision anyone can make. As a young girl, I too had to witness failures before conquering my future.

Every morning I asked myself, "Is it the life that I aspire to live?'' or " Can I change my story?". One fine day, I chose. I chose to be my inspiration; I chose to be myself. That fine day, a corporate trainer was born. A passionate public speaker came alive and a facilitator felt her fire.

The next step was to spend each minute thinking about living the life of my dreams. I could visualize myself achieving little milestones. The pleasure of inspiring people and guiding them to be relentless in their journey towards success was worth all the struggles. From conducting my first training session and getting 5/5 feedback, every day brings me new hopes to keep working, learning and inspiring the audiences through constant motivation, guidance and sharing of knowledge.

You might be wondering how did I manage to get my first training assignment and conquer the fear of public speaking? Well, it all happened because of the work I put in. From sending 500 emails per day to calling learning and development heads of various organizations, the journey has been exemplary. Yes, there were rejections and a lot of waiting time. However, within my heart I knew that success comes to those who are ready to dance through the testing times and emerge as powerful individuals with unprecedented growth, knowledge and wisdom. At times, it's about believing in yourself and starting to work through the problems that might arise. I managed to win because I never feared failure. My consistent efforts conspired with the universe to make the challenges change me into the individual I am today.

From conducting campus to corporate programs to facilitating sessions for senior managers, each moment of my journey motivated me further to delve deeper and deliver the best session I can. From being a fresher in the industry to have been able to gain experience of training employees of multi-national corporations, leadership team, and senior government officials, I believe I have come a long way.

We have so much potential within us. A life that is full of possibilities and purpose. We are who we choose to be. It’s never about the right time. It’s about the right decision. What lies ahead is merely the result of the excuses we manage to deny and the flaws we decide to embrace. Life is bound to knock us down at every point, at every level. It’s about whether we choose to get up and stay.

The biggest irony of the EXPERIENCE RICH SOCIETY is that it stops us from believing in ourselves. It takes away whatever faith we have in us about our capabilities, strengths and our most inspiring ambitions. Seldom do we realize that we need to break these shackles before the shackles break us into pieces of insufficiency, insanity, and lack of ingenuity. We are living in a world of volatility and insecurity where we are taught to accept, forced to acknowledge and made to adjust to the so-called “non-negotiable norms”. This society has put up barriers for everyone. We may use these barriers to limit ourselves or we may use them to exercise our limitless potentials. We may choose to remain or we may choose to evolve. We need to know our self-worth and embrace our imperfections. Today, I stand tall as a confident girl. I am a life skills coach, a public speaker, a corporate trainer, a personality development expert, a facilitator and a motivational mentor. Had I restricted myself to the so-called “EXPERIENCE RICH SOCIETY”, I would not have discovered myself. I managed to discover myself because I chose my passion for my profession; I chose to be myself in a world where we consistently seek validation from others. I am proud of the journey I have lived so far and I am excited about the new adventures’ life holds for me.

At this point, when the world is surrounded by uncertainty and what future holds for us, I am focused on my learning, growth, and self-transformation.Because, when everything gets perfectly fine, I would be continuing on my journey to inspire people and touch as many lives I can.
