Passion, Performance, People and Pride

I am hugely proud this week to have been told that some of the amazing people I have the honour of working with are being recognised by their peers at the Security and Fire Excellence Awards to be held in November in London.

As a business we have a number of finalist positions but the real stand out parts for me are the front line heroes and the extra mile managers that make better standards possible and in a lot of cases - business as usual.

I'm really proud of our New Cross Hospital team and the partnership we share with Paul Smith and his colleagues. Its a geunine meeting of minds and a share desire to improve patient experience. This transcends the normal day to day AIs and core nuts and bolts that go to making the service better. We are always looking at new ways to improve training, kit and process and the results speak for themselves as you will have seen from previous posts. Paul richly deserves his shortlisting.

The same goes for our Merseyrail contract where we have been shortlisted for 2 categories in Contribution to Standards and Contract Manager of the Year for Jeff Higham. We are intensely proud to have worked with this client for a quarter of a decade now and the thing we are proud of most is we havent stood still. Working with Head of Security Neil Hutchison we have developed a partnership were we spur each other on to bigger and better service standards and innovation. We are enhancing the power and value of data on this contract in a way that is being noted by other TOCs and stakeholders - so much so we will learn from football and start charging for stadium tours! We are proud to show our work and outputs. We are proud to share.

These two contracts highlight what we are all about . They are not the only ones we have but were the ones with the greatest contributions this year from the perspective of passion, performance, people and the pride we have in delivering it.

Wish us luck for the awards as we will be celebrating our greatest asset - our people.
