The Passion Behind Starting Eduspace Education

Introduction:

I am currently raising awareness on the importance of privacy focused apps, and the need for human interaction in education. With technology and the intervention of AI we really need to go back to basics for education, this is what I want to make possible with Eduspace App.? Being an international student all my life I understand the pains of moving and shifting and struggling to learn, I thrived best when I had one to one personalized attention for those subjects.?Which is why I started Eduspace, with the notion to help students like myself and who need to be able to choose their tutors based on their own personal learning needs. Because every student and child is different, they have their own personal needs and generalizing education doesn’t help the masses.?Using this Tinder like app, I want to be able to matchmake the best student-teacher relationship.?I hope you can support me on this mission to Revolutionize the Edtech Market.?

Here is my story:

I am Jabez Ivan Joshiraj, I am the founder of Eduspace App, I have been an international student all my life and having lived in 3 different countries for educational purposes I understand the difficulties of an international student. I have also worked with top Edtech organizations for the first 7 years of my career and understood that the education is becoming just a business. I saw how dirty the Edtech industry was and was gutted.

I wanted a solution so I started Eduspace as a way to help students find personalized, one to one tutors for them to fit their own learning needs and to take control of their own learning. Therefore I thought of a matchmaking app that could help build this idea into fruition (Tinder for Education - matchmaking the best student-teacher relationship).

With AI and technology changing so fast it is so easy for students to get carried away and not get personalized learning as the world is shifting towards the digitalization of education. I want to bring back education to its basics, making human interaction possible for one to one learning. So with Eduspace I am to bring one to one learning to all students who need it, at the pace of each students and to never give them group classes.

With privacy concerns looming over children, that is one more problem I wanted to irradiate as student data was being misused and sold. I wanted to take a stand to not allow students and teachers to share personal information to each other even in the name of education. So therefore in our app and when we matchmake students to teachers we don't allow them to exchange personal information. All classes are recorded and checked for security purposes.

As an International student, you have a lot of changes with teachers, getting accustomed to the culture and on top of that you have to really do well in your education as well, which is really difficult when you are in a new place. With Eduspace you can get everything under one roof and ensure you have continuity and supports no matter where you are.

We vet and have a 3 stage verification process of all tutors that come on the platform, we do not allow part time teachers and will only allow teachers who are currently teaching or have the credentials to teach the syllabus, and curriculum that is being taught. This will allow us to maintain and control the quality of learning and teaching on our platform.

When I started, this business during my masters I had partnered with my university and several other child homes to recycle e-waste as I was passionate about reducing e-waste as one of the social causes when I started with this idea. To help underprivileged kids to also have access to technology, and education by recycling, refurbing e-waste. So we would collect laptops from students in university and schools and refurbish them to working conditions and provide the technology to child homes, and orphanages.

We are focused on delivering the needs of the student first and always keeping in mind a student centric approach for their learning. The reason I am raising funds is to really make a change and an impact in the future generation, I believe with a solution as such it will allow for students to take control of their learning and be safe and secure using online learning as a means of enriching their lives.

Since we also have a social cause of eradicating e-waste by recycling an reusing electronic devices.

The money will go into building and expanding the business so more people can have access to the app, as well as we are stuck with product development due to funds and are needing some support to build out some features to roll it out to the public.
