Passing the Torch: Son Selected as 2024 LLS Visionary Leader

Passing the Torch: Son Selected as 2024 LLS Visionary Leader

When I learned my son’s “One Big Thing” this year was to honor his father’s cancer journey by creating hope for others I realized I had “passed the torch.”? There is no greater gift for a parent than to realize your child was watching and grew into a man whose calling is to have perpetual impact on others.

A few years ago I posted about my husband’s cancer journey in an effort to create hope for others -? My Unexpected Rise to CEO – Lessons Learned and Miracles Earned.? My son was a big part of our journey.? He grew up learning firsthand how much having hope and helping others in your community can make a difference in their lives.? He also realizes there is so much more we can all do to impact others daily.

To learn that the LLS Society (Leukemia & Lymphoma) is recognizing @Ryan Cranford as a 2024 Visionary Leader was naturally a very proud moment. Serving, mentoring, and coaching others has always been his calling, and he is “all in” as he continues the fight for more research and to provide hope for others battling or impacted by cancer.

I hope you will read more about Ryan’s mission below, comment, share it, and take the step yourself to help others continuing to struggle in our community.? You, too, can make a difference.

PS: My Miracle Man is still alive, 32 years after being told he wouldn’t live a year, thanks to hope, prayers, and continued research leading to new drugs and techniques. The journey continues!

He certainly learned from the best!!! ?? Congratulations to Ryan. A special thank you to Ryan for carrying the torch for those who are battling or lost their battle with leukemia or lymphoma. I lost my mother to leukemia. More research is definitely needed.
