Passing the PE Exam, 24 years after graduating College. How did I do it?

"Some men fight one day and are good. There are others that fight many years and are better. But there are those who fight all their lives, those are the indispensable". Bertolt Brecht.
Today, twenty-four years after my graduation, I have passed my PE exam. How did I do it? It took me three attempts, I had to solve 1500 problems and study 900 hours. In life you have to prepare when you are looking for victory, the reach of any objective, although defeat or falling short is also a possibility. This time thanks to God I was victorious, but I know that other challenges will come and I recognize that I might not be ready. And when that happens, I'll remember that I've already been here and God knows I'll try one more time.
I know others engineers did not need so much effort to pass the test than I did. For them, my respects for their tenacity and ability. But if you know someone like me, remind them of that saying, "If things that are worth doing were easily done, anyone would do them." And share my father's advice "when you have doubt and do not know what to do, let yourself be guided by dreams and not for life." Ask them to love themselves and love their family since that is where the spark live. Encourage them to fight every day and never give up their dreams. Remind them that those who struggle less than a day are defeated in the first try and asked them to join me in the club of the essential ones.
