I am watching the Republican Convention. Everything I said on pp. 127-133 in my new book, Democracy in Decline, about the sharp contrast between the visions of the Democrats and the Republicans about making our country great remain true. The Republicans are spewing hate and want to return to a fictional time of small government and no business regulation. They picked a goon leader who would be comfortable with a Putin-like grip on the economy. @kotl, #democracy

Humanity and selfless work is going down to the hell. Man is getting worse than an animal. Animals would prey when they are hungry, but man otheraround, no matter what he has would kill to get more. Even if it's own character and soul
