Partnerships DO Work

Partnerships DO Work

In late 2020, I was ready for a newer way to do business. This was when I started focusing on partnering with other business owners on contracts.

I started with a good friend of mine. At this point, I began doing more consulting/tech writing work.

However, the virtual assistant side still brought in the most clientele. By this time, I had dissolved the agency minus a couple of subcontractors to help with some clients. But I wanted to transition out of that officially.

So my friend and I teamed up to offer a joint package that tackled common “problems” that came to us and sold the solution together. About a week or two after we went live, we sold our first package which was a little over $1000.

The client didn’t hesitate and agreed to the price. Boom. We had a deal. Both of us were reallyy good at our craft, so we were done with everything within a week after getting the necessary information to complete the project.

Most of all, we were able to make more while doing “less” work. This continued until we both decided to pursue other projects but continued a referral partnership.

This experience helped me explore how I want my partnerships to go in the future, how simple they can flow, and how much easier it is to sell. So, what’s the point of this article?

Partnerships CAN work. People have bad experiences, but it’s not everyone’s story. Here are some pros I’ve had with partnering with the right people on projects.

1?? You can amplify your value which allows you to charge premium prices confidently.

2?? You can command higher prices when you understand the strength and value of your combined skills and are detached from the potential client’s yes or no.

Don’t undervalue the power of collaboration. There are plenty of us doing this and are successful with it.

It all starts with building your network with the “RIGHT” individuals. If you are a business owner ready to:

- Discover how networking can lead to valuable partnerships,

- Understand how to leverage connections to scale your business,

- Build a network that supports and elevates your goals, You’ll enjoy my mini crash course and workbook on networking for $27.

This mini-course also works well as an intro training for Strategic Partnership/Business Development Managers . To have one designed to match your values, processes, etc, comment "TRAINING" below and I'll reach out!

I’m always open to connecting with other individuals that complement the work I do. Feel free to send a DM!

Keep up with TLM!

I definitely agree because the success of my business has been dependent upon my connections. Thank you for this post and would love to keep the conversation going for us to find a way to collaborate.
