Partnership 2021

Dear colleagues,

As the head of the English language department at Ferghana State University (FSU) in Uzbekistan, l am reaching out to you on behalf of our department to explore avenues of international cooperation between our respective institutions.

Our department, Philology and English Teaching, is one of the leading departments of the university, focusing on developing language skills and intercultural competence. (Since 2009, instructional activities have been taught under the Presett curriculum, which was developed in collaboration with the British Council). There is a Master's studies department, offering tuition in linguistics and English, and taught by professor and associate professor grade staff.

Foreign experts from various countries have also been regularly involved in our university's activities as part of exchange programs.

Through this contact, we hope to develop multi-leveled opportunities for institutional collaboration to include:

-student exchange programs between our universities

-exchange of instructional staff and other specialists to visit our respective institutions

- organization of workshops, seminars and conferences of mutual interest and benefit

- publication of proceedings and other academic materials, and

- other opportunities that may emerge from future contacts.

We hope this initial correspondence serves as an adequate overture to begin multilateral communication processes with various stakeholders in your institution to take positive future action towards increasing the level and quality of contact between or respective institutions.
