Partner’s Perspective: An Anniversary to Book - Celebrating 50 Years of Syarikat Ong

Supporting SMEs has always been at the heart of Syarikat Ong, ever since its founding by my late father-in-law, Mr. Ong Hang. His vision was to create a legacy of dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the SME community in Malaysia. As we mark our 50th anniversary this year, we reflect on this journey with immense pride and gratitude.

In true Syarikat Ong style, we choose to commemorate this milestone by making a meaningful contribution to the SME sector. Instead of grand celebrations, we aim to create a lasting impact.

A Legacy of Contribution

With the E-Invoicing implementation set to transform business processes across Malaysia, I reckon it’s timely to publish a book on E-Invoicing. This book, available in both English and soon in Mandarin, is designed to help SME leaders appreciate and anticipate the strategic implications of E-Invoicing. Given that the guidelines of IRBM do not cover Mandarin, this bilingual approach ensures wider accessibility and support for our diverse community. As you navigate this transformation, Syarikat Ong stands ready to offer the advisory support you may need along the way.

The book E-Invoicing for Malaysian SMEs was successfully launched at our recent event, The E-Invoicing Playbook - Insights and Networking. The event featured Dr. Wong, a respected professor in economics, who adeptly played the role of moderator during a fireside chat with me. His insightful questions and engagement made the event truly memorable. Dr. Wong, thank you.
