Participate -vs- Procrastinate
Okay, so which are you?
Participator or procrastinator.
I was personally reminded a couple of days ago, when contemplating some extra zzzzzz - rather than strapping on my running shoes and hitting the track - how often we are tempted with procrastination. In my case, I hit the track, enjoyed a cooler early morning run around the lake and consequently had a much more energised day because of it.
Participation across all aspects of our lives - be it personal or work, whilst not always being easy to commit to, leaves us feeling so much better. Part of a "community", enriched, engaged, enthused.
Once we have mastered the art of participation, the next step is to be bold and have the courage to instigate and innovate.
Its what our customers want, expect and deserve.
Its what our families, friends and team mates want, expect and deserve.
So, next time you feel like taking the back seat, sitting on the fence - or simply chasing those extra zzzzzzz, don't listen to that "itty bitty shitty committee" in your head.
Step up to the plate - participate!
