Participate in the Drone Industry Barometer 2022!
Drone Industry Insights
The primary source for global market intelligence for commercial drones, urban air mobility, and electric aviation.
Every year, we use our Drone Industry Barometer to gauge the state of the drone industry. This is a unique opportunity for drone companies all over the globe to come together and share their individual insights, which we then accumulate and analyse to find patterns. Topics range from reasons to adopt drones, to how much drone companies export vs import or what they consider the top market-driving actors.
The Drone Industry Barometer is the most comprehensive and inclusive survey for the drone industry, completed by drone industry professionals themselves
Here are a couple highlights and reasons to participate.
Global Representation
Our Barometer began in 2018. And over the years, it has rapidly become more and more international, reaching all corners of the globe. Last year's edition collected responses from 64 countries. And more important than the quantity of countries was perhaps the quality of countries.
The top 4 countries in terms of responses corresponds directly with the top 4 global drone markets (i.e. China, USA, Japan, and Germany). Other countries in the top ten (e.g. India, South Korea, and the UK) were also in the top 10 of respondents for the Barometer, so we are confident the data is as representative as ever. To facilitate global participation even more, this year we translated the survey into a total of 7 languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
Increasing Use of Drone Technology
Another important question that we ask is why companies choose to adopt drones into their internal operations. This is a question that we ask to companies that use drones for business-internal services. And whether they outsource this as an external service or not, the question helps us understand why companies might choose to integrate drones into their workflow.
Last year's results show that "improving quality" has become the top reason for using drones. In previous years, "saving time" had often been described as the top reason, so now that companies have a better understanding of the benefits of commercial drones, they are not only concerned with doing the job faster but also with doing it?better?thanks to drone technology. Of course these two paragraphs don't even scratch the surface of what we address in the Barometer. You can read more about the 2021 results in our blog, and download a free copy of the full report on our website.
