Parthenocissus sp. Hacienda Creeper?
Happy Friday!
At MSWN we only have a couple vines to offer, but each is mighty! This week’s featured plant may look like a normal Virginia Creeper, until you learn about a few key attributes that turn it into a superstar!
Parthenocissus sp. Hacienda Creeper? is a MSWN selection that stays about half the size of the straight species maturing to only 25ft. Another interesting fact is this one is much more tolerant of heat, aridity, and full sun, even in Phoenix. I would not classify this vine as drought tolerant planted in the desert, so please plan accordingly in regards to irrigation. The last feature I’d like to mention is the way the leaves are held all through the summer and into fall so you’re sure to have lovely red fall color each year. In fact, the fall colored leaves typically hold all through winter, and the new foliage pushes off the winter colored older foliage. Each year a new set of leaves is produced giving a fresh, clean appearance all over again.
Please refer to the attached information sheet and photos of this plant with spring/summer green foliage , and also fall/winter red color. We currently have lush 5g available and trucks are rolling through CA every week.
***We added a lot of new items today to the availability, but have not necessarily added all the photos to the link below. If you are looking to place an order, please order from the list and not the photos for best selection.
