Part-time MBA. Leading Research Infrastructures with Global Impact.
Applications opened for a part-time MBA on the Management of Research Infrastructures. This is a great program that I highly recommend (I am one of the students in the first year's version).
I have learned many management tools, including how to understand and produce financial documents; governance; managing innovation and bringing it into research organizations; developing useful and real strategic and business plans; stakeholder mapping.
I've learned things I already knew but were rationalized and brought into a new other level. I learned many new things. The theory and what authors have been writing about this.
The course is also very strong because of your colleagues, which are from other research infrastructures; just by comparing and contrasting you end up with many more powerful tools.
The invited speakers are excellent, ranging from major European funders, CEOs of top infrastructures in Europe, influential policy makers, private sector management and accounting experts.
And the professors are excellent, not only because they know a lot, but also because they are willing to adapt their knowledge to the current situation in research infrastructures, leading discussions in a way where knowledge also flows from students to professors, increasing enlightenment all the way for everyone.
