Global trade has evolved to the point where SWIFT and the ICC have created a collaborative structure whereby global trade can benefit the economic development of all countries. Three things stand in the way of this evolution. They are:
technological hubris,
official and general ignorance

President Trump does all he can to create a picture of what will benefit the economic development of the U.S., a picture of caring for those who have been hurt by “globalization and automation.” Donald Trump and Wilbur Ross have succeeded in effecting the Maslow effect, in channeling the wrath of the disaffected, unemployed and underemployed into an ideological cul-de-sac.
