How can I keep (and improve) my level of English without taking additional lessons?

 "I don't understand what is said when people talk to me on the phone!" What can I do to improve my listening ASAP?

 Well, if you would like to improve your English communication skills by 30% immediately, SLOW DOWN. Speak slower to be better understood.

Learn to listen by listening to yourself...Read out loud and record yourself.

 Then just listen. DO NOT REREAD the paragraph! Just listen. What do you notice when you listen to yourself? Did you understand what you just read? How was your enunciation?
