I hope you have read and cherished my last blog in which I explained about an easy and doable 'SMART' System for Setting Up Milestones for Your Success Journey. The SMART system keeps your mind away from getting scared of achieving your big goal. You can check and read the previous articles first if you haven’t, to understand this ‘goal-achieving series’ better.
So once you have perfected your SMART system, all you got to do is to follow that system with 100% of your attention and dedication. The points written below will help you do that. Let’s get started.
1. Take One Milestone at a Time
It has been witnessed that for some fellas, numbers are really frightening. When they see too many milestones lined up to attack their confidence, they give up. If you are among those people, you should try setting up one milestone at a time. Or you can further break one milestone into smaller mini-milestones.
2. Write Everything Down
Write a milestone down strongly affirms that you are serious about your goals. That, you are not just playing around - hit and try. Anything that is written and visible all the time attracts your attention and your mind will automatically shift away from the habit of procrastination. Research suggests that writing down a goal increases the likeliness of achieving it by 42%.
3. Be Flexible with Yourself
Before you start your success journey, you have to promise yourself that you will always be on the path of self-honesty. That includes telling yourself that there might be times when you won’t be able to conquer the set milestone. And you gotta be okay with this fact. Flexibility is as important as any other important trait. Be ready to learn from your mistakes and improve yourself day by day.
Remember, like all other people, you may experience hurdles that you didn’t assume in the first place. To overcome these shortcomings, a new set of strategies is required. In my next and final post of this series, I will explain how not to lose your motivation during your success journey. So stay tuned!
