Part 3: Initiate your cloud Journey (Subscription)

Once again thanks to all who have reached out for further information on previous topics , it do even help me to keep myself updated and get to know other’s idea.

?So, once you have finalized you governance module it’s important to understand about the subscription . It is simple if you are working on standalone and already structure cloud model but if you are designing the first solution for the organization and their cloud journey just started than it become one of the most important thing. Please check the quesitons and link mentioned below for all details.

?Below are few question which you should ask yourself while working on subscription.

1. ?How many subscriptions do you need across your organization?

• Would you need one, or multiple?

2. Who is responsible for paying the subscription?

• Somebody's got to pay $$$
• Do you have agreement with key business stakeholders and are they willing to pay for the services?

3. Which offer do I choose for my subscription?

• Different customers, different prices...

4. Are there any scale limits to my subscriptions?

• Could be a reason to go for multiple subscription. Do you know which limits exists at the level of a subscription?

5. Should my organization go for a centralized vs decentralized approach?

• Who will be managing these subscriptions and resources within it?
• Central IT or decentralize and let the business be agile?
• Will you put everything under an enterprise agreement?

6. We want to enforce common policies and role assignments across many subscriptions. What should we do???
