Part-21: Seven(7), Eight(8), Nine(9)&Ten(10) figure earning Entrepreneurs & Investors_Seven Heavens Legal_Thoughts of the legend in today's life
The spine-chilling background music by A. R. Rehman and the below words have always stayed in my mind from ever since I heard them (both of them, are for Shri. Shaheed Bhagat Singh-ji, who for the uninitiated, was a world-reknown atheist and socialist revolutionary, who considered the Hindu-Muslim divide and labour exploitation to be the bane of Indian society, who was sent to the gallows when he was just 23 years old. Many believe that he was so sent by the British Empire, due to the impact this young man made during his two year incarceration, like staying on a 'Hunger Strike' for close to Five-months, equal to, or more than entire hunger strike of Mahatma Gandhi during his entire career from South Africa days - which is an interesting story in itself),
"I always believed there were two kinds of men in this world. Men who go to their deaths screaming, and men who go to their deaths in silence. Then I met a third kind...
Many times I still dream about them, fearless and taking their last steps towards the gallows, their feet never had learnt to wander around, but I most remember is their eyes, piercing eyes that rip apart till the core of your soul, fearless, clear and stable eyes."
Today, we pen our thoughts about the said legend and his friends. Friends who were so dedicated to their freedom, their cause, that they did not suffer from ethereal limitations such as we do. Despite the long and tiring struggles of incessant hunger strikes within Incarceration to be recognized and to be treated as political prisoners, he was within this short time able to write and accomplish, what no revolutionary had ever been able to, pull down an empire to its lowest ebb, while writing letters to family, friends, jail and court officials, write major articles such as "Why I am an Atheist", "Letters to Young Political Workers" and "Jail Notebook" and at the same time self-representing before firstly, highly farcical trials before regular courts and then later before a three-judge tribunal, whose sole task was to complete the Saunders murder case against him at the earliest with 'only one result' and without any challenge possible, except through Privy Council based on Viceroy Irwin's May 1930 Lahore Conspiracy Case Ordinance. The said ordinance never approved by the Indian Central Assembly, or the British Parliament due to its sham nature.
Corona Virus Pandemic and India: India’s fight against COVID-19 got underway with Hon'ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, announcing a ‘Janata Curfew’, from 7 am to 9 pm, on March 22, 2020. This became an initial trial for a much longer lockdown starting two days later, at 8 pm on March 24, 2020.
This timeline gave the country and its 1.3 billion people (and countless tourists from all across the globe) all of four (4) hours to get ready. It is also noteworthy that the initial announcement was only for a month and had urged everyone, including the 'poor' and 'hand-to-mouth' migrant workers, to stay where they are for the said month.
Three lockdown extensions later, the Indian Economy is in dire straits and huge economic challenges lie ahead for the country yet to completely re-open.
Pre-lockdown economic condition: We also need to make note of the fact that the 'Unemployment rates' in India were at a '40-year high' even before the start of the pandemic and the economy was showing a serious downward trend without COVID19 or its Lockdown in place. Thus, the pandemic and the sudden and unplanned lockdown thereafter have crushed that already crumbling economy. A massive number of people have lost their means of livelihoods, especially the migrant labour. By various estimates, anywhere between 82%-94% of the workforce in India is employed in the unorganised sector. And it is there, that there have been huge cuts in salaries across the board and, if the sales of automobiles and consumer durables are anything to go by, even by the most conservative estimates, you are looking at a loss of maybe more than 80% of the demand in the economy.
We did have declaration of an economic stimulus package, but whether it is helping Indians is highly questionable. Especially when a vial of the generic version of 'Remdesvir' (the magic drug from Gilead Sciences, that is found to be effective for every two out of the three patients with COVID19 complications and who are on ventilators) too is set to cost a whopping ~Rs.5000 INR. It is hilarious that the government understands the need to supply rations to the poor and the starving farmers and once migrant labourers till November-end under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, but is not using its powers to order 'Compulsory licensing' of Remdesvir, to have a realistic / near manufacturing cost for this medicine, which is alleged to be around Rs. 100 INR per vial.
(Assumed) Thoughts of the Legend: Considering the fact that it was said by "Shri. Shaheed Bhagat Singh-ji", that
"We can see the mountain of religion standing in our path (to independence / progress)"
Is it not true that if religion is kept within the boundaries of one’s home, it creates prejudice in the minds of the people? Then why were we fighting under the name of Hindu and Islam as religions over the Palghar lynching, which is undoubtedly despicable and heinous, but seems to only be a diversion from the above economic crisis. Why do news anchors get unlimited freedom of speech to run amock in so-called debates to incite hatred, spread discontent and animosity between the communities?
Similarly, Heart-in-Heart, all of us know that these are all orchestrated to divert attention of the sufferings of our fellow country-men, the migrant labourers, the unemployed, the underpaid, but why do we not react, or respond to it?
Similar to what NCP supremo and veteran leader, Shri. Sharad Pawar, explained to the poor people of the Maharashtra, of what difference does an air-strike in the jungles of Pakistan make to their daily struggles, time has come for honest self introspection, as to what gain, or benefit do we achieve by getting worked up by China, an enemy state, as per the 2017 amendment to the enemy property laws in India, when a Pharmaceutical company from a friendly nation, Gilead Sciences, still is allowed to market under an "accelerated marketing authorization" for Remdesvir in INDIA, for "Restricted emergency use" on hospitalized COVID19 patients, by invoking special provisions / exceptions under the New Drug and Clinical Trial Rules, 2019 WITHOUT LOCAL PHASE III TRIALS IN INDIA!
Isn't the later more directly affecting the lives of Crores / Billions of Indian lives? Or have lives become cheaper than Border-conflicts? Whil bow down to the martyrdom of the 20+ brave souls that were lost in protecting Galwan, we also value the Billions of life at stake that may be lost due to inaction. And while food will be available till November-end under under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, would the ~Rs.5000 INR vials of Remdesvir generics too be made available? Probably not, considering the exhaustion of the 20 Lakh crore fiscal package for COVID19 declared earlier.
The legend, Shri. Shaheeed Bhagat Singh-ji invokes your soul to search for answers to such difficult questions. India is yet to see concrete flattening of the curve, but yet is going through various phases of "Unlock", does the life of the poor mean nothing to you?
"The difference between Patriotism and Nationalism is that the Patriot is proud of his Country for what it does, and the Nationalist is proud of his Country no matter what it does!"
The said Unemployment and Unavailability of medicines to the poor person's reach remind us of the following lines by the Legend, Shri. Shaheed Bhagat Singh-ji:
"Even if now your blood does not boil, it ain't blood but Water;
If your Youth is not available for the betterment of the Country, then it is a waste of Youthfullness"
Conclusion: We know that the readership for this client-education series is low, but in the eventuality of anyone questioning our approach to "Going Offshore", or "Going where treated the Best", or "Asset Protection Plans", or "Plan B passports", or "Legally reducing your taxes to zero or near zero by going offshore", we would not oblige an answer, rather request such a question to the above questions and ask the person questioning us over our unconventional services, to introspect answers to the above questions posed by Shri. Shaheed Bhagat Singh-ji to them.
