?
Quiet, wild, and untouched
Best suited for: Those who have perhaps already seen the Big Five and want to focus on getting closer to Africa’s nature. Like in Botswana, the camps are small, the national parks are large, and the tourists are few. Walking safaris were born here, the birdlife is spectacular, and you’re almost always near a river. Expect more rustic accommodations, as many camps are taken down and rebuilt each season, leaving nature untouched.
Wildlife you’re most likely to see: Elephants, lions, leopards, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and black rhinos.
Best time to visit: The best time is from May to September.?
Don't miss: The chance to try a walking safari. There’s nothing quite like your first encounter with a wild animal on foot – the adrenaline and excitement of this primal experience is unbeatable.
