Part 1: Initiate your cloud Journey

?Thanks all for your message and query over Cloud migration topic. It was quite encouraging.

?This thread is mainly focused on client/vendor/organization who is starting their cloud journey.

?We All know the cloud have almost limitless capabilities on storage and business specific functionality. Full cloud functionality can only be leveraged if your initial planning is good and you have considered not only the present requirements but what could come in future as well.

?I have noticed several time that when company move to cloud they are generally move department wise or sub-organization level and hence design their governance based on that. In short term it’s great and may help you to quickly jump on productive area but if you spend 5% extra time on designing you can truly embark company cloud journey.

?There are few limitation of resource number, VNET and other on subscription, region and other factors. While moving toward cloud we should definitely focus on those limitation as well, it may not impact in present future or in next 2-3 years but it may have potential impact on longer term and hence cause a redesigning or path separation in cloud journey.

?While designing the governance try to allocate at least 3 layer of ?management group it give you leverage for overcoming the resource limit. It also allow to manage the resource on different layer and based on different requirements.
