Paris Attack - Why migration policies fail

It was said right yesterday that an act of terror - now confirmed - downed the civil plane in Egypt last month. Today early morning, while I′m writing my press issue concerning the "day-after" of Paris, I got the news about fear surround the Hanover stadium during the last football match in Germany and still news about the identity of one of the self murderer at Bataclan: a 29-years old man who was condemned in Europe between 2004 and 2010 for offenses that have nothing to do with terrorism, but considered "radicalized" since 2010. The others of the terror team were coming from the poor migrants city districts of European countries, except one who came in September probably with false identity but registered his fingerprint in refugee camp in Greek. They killed the innocents and themselves in name of God. Of course, again, the answer is intensification of the war in Syria to battle terrorists in their "home" country. They will fix everything and go on with the European politic called “we can do it”. I guess, you are now wondering whether we have forgotten something...
Which terror "home" country we are talking about? There is an evident internal problem in Europe, caused by the superficiality of European politicians, past and present, who have given the migrants financial support and place to stay, social assistance and a language curse, but time later, have forgotten them, not created jobs ad-hoc for them, and without controlling them, in the name of the "freedom" and "break of cultural walls". Those politicians have refused to act any kind of extra supervision of the new-comers inside the European territory and have not cared about the "real" integration-process of the mass. So, they moved the concept of "freedom" into "anarchy" and closed the eyes in front of the growing fundamentalism, and the creation of growing parallel societies.
Have those politicians made the migrants in Europe through this special "freedom concept" really happy? Or, are we in Europe really able to make them happy? No. You know, if you interview migrants on the streets they will reply you that they fill unhappiness. They say, they don′t get jobs if they don′t have a curriculum, they try selling rain-umbrellas from the black markets now even during sunny days in France and Italy. (in the picture of September 2015 in Austria: 20 migrants protest and ask 2.000,00 Euro/ month social aid, because 800,00 Euro is too less).
Many unemployed men spend the whole day sitting around the main European train stations or parks, without any future. We need a solution which is fair for everybody, for the citizens and workers, for the "real" war-refugees and also for the economic-migrants as well. But how?
I will bother you now with this question:
which is the most important thing to develop welfare?
Isn′t “Education”? I want to consider this point because is extreme important and many managers forgot that. I′d say:
“education is the first step, the challenging task, the most important one and our aim to grow”
You may want to live in a civil world and not in the jungle, right?
Yes you are right. The terrorism is inside Europe already and it′s not a new thing at all. We have a new generation of local terrorists, able to speak French or German correctly indeed. Born in EU and grew up in districts where the presence of migrants is almost 100% and the employment rate is the lowest as well as the school attendance.
But be careful now! It′s not only question of learning languages and mathematics. There is a lack of social education and social subjects. Lack of attention to young generations in general even. Lack of attention also to migrant families that obviously educate and influence their kids. We should strongly work on this matter investing more energy if we really want to accomplish the mission “integration” instead of bringing a safe developed society into a progressive social collapse. (In the picture gangs in UK).
In the interview of the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" to Hans-Werner Sinn President of the Ifo-Institute on 12nd November about the new comers 2015 in Germany:
“...half of the refugees do not even have the Pisa-1 education level, they would hardly understand written in their own language...”
That means, we need to look after them because they are "understandably ignorant" and they will understandably make mistakes. We need to be aware of this. Are we? Just delivering the T-Shirt "Welcome Refugees" and after that just putting them into a "ghetto" without any clear future, it′s not the way to integration. The whole integration phase is quite more demanding than the politician predicted. Also the costs will necessary be higher than the European politician told us.
Mr. Sinn explained during the same interview that for the only German country the integration costs of the 1.1 Million refugees of the 2015 will be 20 Milliard Euro, not 10 Milliard they calculated at the beginning. So, either we take this work seriously and we integrate people correctly to avoid future problems, or we stop migration at all, we close all borders and build walls, we stop giving financial benefits in order to reduce attractiveness, because we were telling stories to our people and to the migrants as well, risking to damage the European Union and the welfare even, risking to create "EU-made social bombs".
But the actual European political class - looks like - is not willing to do so, neither the first, nor the second option. In Paris Attack the Syrian refugees are not guilty. Migrants are in need of learning and understanding the social rules, exactly like a guest (in this case a "paid guest") would learn and respect the home rules. But for this purpose they need the right "training programs". I have seen one of those so called "program": language lesson and bike lesson (...). But do we understand that "culture" is not just inside a language? Culture deals with traditions, common rules, usual attitudes, common social laws, written or spoken. We respect the religious of the others and this tolerance comes from our higher development. Our dear "guests" should also respect all these things. Only when the integration reach this goal, we will be allowed to say that the work is done. Otherwise is not done.
Actually we have in Europe a too high unemployment rate in the migrant population and still too many isolated unsafe city districts where they live. (video by Lip-TV from Sweden)
It′s absolutely to remember that we still need to integrate the migrants who came in the last 20 years actually, let′s say it honestly, while we are going to welcome further 2 or 3 Million.
We have seen, for example, that frequently migrants don′t understand why our people are not religious anymore, or why our people have less children, or why our women have the full authorization to walk and dress sexy without being in danger. They also don′t understand security procedure like person-identification through Id-Card or fingerprint scan. It is not a problem for us when we are asked to register fingerprint to renovate passport. The big education and cultural gap generate the problem: an example, Report from Italy of September 2015 said 1/3 of the refugees in Italy refused to be identified.
Other point to consider: how the safe society survives. Did we really explain them what civil society means and why it is so important for the good of everybody? Did we really make the point, that Europe is house of many different religious and beliefs and nobody is allowed to try converting the others to their religious with the use of violence? I mean, explain these concepts right in the moment when they came the first time, doesn′t matter if they were young or adult at that time.
And, still, that critic, irony and satire are not going to be censured and allowed in the free social State? That they have to respect the common things and common space, not bothering the neighbors? That killing or injuring others is against all religious beliefs, also against their own religious belief? And finally, did we make honestly the clear point that they unfortunately will not receive everything they want, like a good job, a good house, a good salary because it is even hard for locals to reach all those targets? That job market is quite difficult even for locals with wide curriculum?
The visible disappointment of too many refugees and/or migrants who came in the last times is becoming a big social problem. Then, the new problem is located not in Syria or Iraq anymore, but in Europe, growing at a speed proportional to the size of "not-integrate" migrants, which is mathematically growing at a speed proportional to the size of the "new-comers" flow . Some local leaders, religious or politic, are collecting all the disappointment of the migrant mass and using the power of the words during public meetings like a "gun". The Bible said against who wants to use the words to generate violence:
“Your tongue is like a sharpened razor, architect of deception”
Bad words negatively influence mass and generate violence as well as sound like an "alarm" for other local radical wings. Therefore it is necessary for a correct social development and building-up of the multicultural peace for next generations, that a strict control of the extremists violent words and influences on the public places in Europe (doesn′t matter if on a public street or a public building) is absolutely done. I know that somebody will protest for that in the name again of the "freedom", but the religious radical fundamentalism is something very diabolic that we don′t have in Europe since XVI century. I guess you don′t want to return to middle-ages in XXI century. Do you? People die, it′s not a joke.
From Birmingham (UK) and Hamburg (Germany) 2 small examples of radicalism where sharpened words - screamed from leaders walking on the roads - may incite to violence. In these cases the following words were repeated and repeated continuously. The power of those screamed repeated words can be devastating for the balance of the population inside the same town.
CONCLUSIONS AND LAST COMMENTS.
A) Historical Background:
The European politician class decided during the last 20 years, that migration is necessary to correct the low rate of births , and anyway also in the name of - so named - "experimental multiculturalism". Therefore migrants coming from outside EU receive several benefits from salary and housing to free bus services. So it is not surprising that people, coming from 3000-10000 Km far from Europe, searching for better economy, decide to walk till EU, crossing many countries in between, risking their own life. There is a clear European political plan which works as a light-tower to attract migrants. However, the old project of migrant social integration hasn′t been working properly so far, and – as Paris event again demonstrates – a new mass of self-murderer kamikaze is growing inside Euro cities with the aim to import the culture of the religious fanaticism and intolerance. The same culture of the intolerance which is also at the base of the dissolution of their countries and social structures. For this reason
the careful assistance (but of course expensive N.B) to individual integration and education are of extreme importance!
B) Fundamentalism and security issue : loss of territoriality inside European cities:
It looks like the Justice hasn′t been working properly so far, so we are since years experiencing the observing of escalations to violence on the European streets. Such trend is strong growing since 2001. Group of local anarchists who demand no-global, no-states, no-nations, no-borders, no-rules, no-laws, no-police, no-control, have been supporting these events, burning national flags and damaging State symbols, consequentially also given bad example to migrants through an Anti-Society and Anti-Nation behaviour.
State absence and low security level in too many migrant city districts are at the base of violence incubation, where auto-generated mafias and gangs take over the territory and control the sectors instead the State. The loss of State and territoriality in many places in France, Italy, Germany and in the richest European country Sweden (55 gang-areas out of control according to report 2014 only in Sweden), causes highest rate of micro-criminality as well as rapes and violence against women above all. This very dangerous trend need to be urgently downed.
C) Migrant quotas acceptance by EU-States
Some traditionalist European countries, like the Baltic States, Poland and other East nations, don′t feel suitable to multiculturalism from Arab countries due to the religious fundamentalism, don′t consider properly well-done the integration model used by EU, don′t want to follow the migration plan of the rich neighbors and refuse the migrant quotas. However, it is important to remember that social development and integration topic are something which belongs to a single State, to its own culture, traditions and wishes. If, on the one hand, EU may have the right to demand a member State to act some economy changes, correct bad financial trends, etc, on the other hand the EU should not demand a member to harm itself. If a State has a depopulation problem and decide to fix the problem not using mass migration from very far countries with a huge cultural gap, that State has the right to proceed differently. Dictatorship and pushing on very national topics from one country to another, are also not the right strategy to build an Union based on democracy and respect for the difference of opinion.

9 年Good questions and good putting story together. I doubt answers would come easily from politicians. I am not even sure they might get to read this and many similar articles. Anyway - good read. Recommended it in Twitter and other social media. Thanks for sharing this with me.

9 年The "strong expansion" of paramilitary groups in the world is what will be one of our biggest problems. Difficult socioeconomic status /education, income, and/or occupation), wrong leaderships, militant states, wars between ethnic groups, religion, "various degrees of hate", many other problems are direct reasons of their existence. Ethics and morality, good behave and respect toward others and different is universal for all - IF we want to live in peace, love, harmony, freedom and justice. And...just to back to some old definitions - If you sow honesty and love, you will reap eternal joy and happiness. Everything that we do has repercussions. /It comes back to us one way or another/. We cannot escape the consequences of our actions. /What we do comes back to us/. And....Never ever kill in the name of God/or prophets for the sake of our future generations.

9 年I agree with the statements of the article. The "migrant`s issue" is the ice-berg like. It is very clear, that deep inside, where water is not transparent anymore, the "hidden" obstacles would become/are becoming the "Troy Horse" to weak and disable the Europe. Thank you, Daniel, that you are pointing out and spread the seeds out of this serious problem for all Europeans. Now, if not to stimulate the appropriate integration of the refugees, if not investing time, resources and energy to regulate and control the situation, we all are in the same "boat" - The "Titanic" "boat".

9 年Dear Daniel, Hello...I did not read this (slow reader) but the Bible talks about the tongue(sometimes I am not careful)...thanks!
