1. Record orders with Indian Airlines: Indian airlines appeared to be competing for the largest aircraft order announcement in history. IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) set the stage by placing a remarkable order for 500 Airbus A320-family aircraft. Not to be outdone Air India Limited followed suit, announcing two deals totaling 540 Airbus and Boeing jets. These monumental orders underscored the significant growth potential and ambitions of the Indian aviation market.

2. Boeing's Digital Push

Boeing 's CTO outlined the company's significant push toward digital transformation with the use of AI, IoT, and AR.

3. Solar Impulse 3 Plans Revealed: Bertrand Piccard unveiled plans for Solar Impulse 3, which aims to be capable of carrying 50 passengers.

4. ePlane's Green Strategy: ePlane's CEO shared a new green strategy for the online aerospace marketplace to achieve zero emissions by 2024.

5. Rolls-Royce's Future Vision: Rolls-Royce shared its future vision emphasizing sustainability and efficiency.

6. Air France's Biofuel Endeavour: 法航 operated its first long-haul flight powered by sustainable aviation fuel from San Francisco to Paris.

7. Wisk launched a new larger version of its eVTOL service: Wisk Wisk’s new Generation 6 eVTOL was formally unveiled at the Paris Air Show on Monday by company CEO Brian Yutko .?The relatively large “flying taxi” was confirmed that it will follow the previous incarnations and be fully autonomous.

1. Airbus Unveils A350F Freighter's Winning Livery: The winners of a competition to design the livery for the prototype Airbus A350F freighter were revealed.

2. Ecopulse Progresses With Hybrid-Electric Aircraft Demonstrator: Ecopulse's hybrid-electric aircraft demonstrator, developed in partnership with DAHER and 赛峰集团(SAFRAN) , remains on track to enter the market by the end of 2027.

3. McKinsey Predicts Aerospace and Defense Trends for 2024: 麦肯锡 has identified talent, sustainability, and future air mobility as the top three trends for aerospace and defense in 2024.

4. Wright Electric Develops Project Dynamo: Electric motor developer Wright Electric has developed the Project Dynamo generator for the U.S. military.

7. Embraer P2F Conversions to be Built in China: Embraer signed a Letter of Agreement with Lanzhou Aviation Industry Development Group for 20 E190F and E195F E-Jets Passenger-to-Freight (P2F) conversions.

8. Oerlikon and MTU Aero Engines Collaborate: Swiss technology company, 欧瑞康 , and Germany’s MTU Aero Engines signed a collaboration agreement to further develop engine components, materials, and surface technologies to advance the fuel efficiency and increase the lifetime of aircraft engines.

9. Elbit Systems' Contract With Romanian Ministry of National Defense: Elbit Systems received a initial order valued at around $180m to supply the first three of up to seven Watchkeeper X tactical UAVs to the Romanian Ministry of National Defense.

??Thursday, June 22

  1. Toulouse-based startup Beyond Aero unveiled its hydrogen-electric BYA-I aircraft, which can carry four passengers over 900 miles at 310 knots, emitting only water vapour. The innovative company aims to turn business aviation green by building on their already successful 85-kW subscale technology demonstrator.
  2. GE航空 and 赛峰集团(SAFRAN) Aircraft Engines announced that their RISE engines have undergone 400 ground tests, achieving at least 20% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions than current efficient engines.
  3. ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab showcased its hydrogen-powered airliner, GULLYVER, which cuts carbon use to zero and further reduces energy consumption by 15%.A panel of industry professionals discussed the social acceptance challenges of Urban Air Mobility. They believe that building trust and highlighting value propositions are crucial for public acceptance.
  4. Wright Electric announced successful testing of its aerospace electric motor-generator at 1mW (1,300hp) and plans to conduct altitude testing with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration .
  5. Airbus and AURA AERO announced a partnership aimed at decarbonising pilot training.
  6. HyFlux announced their partnership with 达索系统 as part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab to accelerate the development of the Hydrogen Superconducting light-weight motor aimed to decarbonise and remove non-CO2 effects from Single Aisle Aircraft with an investment round closing this year.
