Hello, Parents & Carers!
For the past three years, I’ve had the pleasure of facilitating parent and carer sessions with @Amie Buhari and The Hebe Foundation. It’s always such a rewarding experience to connect with other parents and share valuable insights.
Last week, we had a fantastic discussion about our parenting experiences, our individual parenting styles, and the importance of self-care. We explored simple ways to look after ourselves, including the power of journaling to reflect and release stress.
On Tuesday, we welcomed a specialist to speak about Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and how we can better support children who may be neurodivergent. The conversation highlighted the importance of ending the stigma around SEND and recognising the signs early. It also confirmed something I’ve suspected for a while—neurodivergent children are overrepresented in the criminal justice system. This makes it even more crucial for parents to understand their children’s needs and advocate for them effectively.
As an award-winning, certified parent & teen coach and a mum with 20 years of professional and lived experience, I am passionate about equipping parents with the knowledge and tools to raise confident, supported, and thriving children.
Spaces are still available, why not join us for the remaining 4 weeks as we explore youth culture and hear from a young person.
Together let's raise a generation that thrives and a childhood that our children don't have to recover from!
With purpose and rooting for you
