Pardon the Faux Pas – A Belated Introduction

Like most things I do, I let passion lead the way, jump in feet first, and figure out the details later.

That’s exactly what happened with this newsletter.

On January 1, 2025, I launched this LinkedIn newsletter without a formal introduction, no roadmap, no grand announcement, just vibes and valuable insights. If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably noticed that the posts in my LinkedIn feed tend to be a little…long. ??

What can I say? I like a good explanation. (Okay, fine, I can be long-winded when I’m passionate about something.)

But I digress.

I created this newsletter because I wanted a central place to share my long-winded insights about three of the many things I know a little something and am passionate about:

  • Business – The messy, beautiful, ever-evolving world of building something from the ground up. I’ll share tools I find helpful, changes I’m making (and why), classes I’m taking, and lessons I’ve learned; sometimes the hard way.
  • Finances – Everything from money lessons to economic shifts that could impact your wallet. Whether it’s why your grocery bill keeps climbing or how to build a financial safety net, we’ll talk about it. And yes, you may hear a tidbit about my financial rebuild post divorce.
  • Life – Because money and business don’t exist in a vacuum. There are life lessons woven into every financial decision, and I’ll share them—sometimes with humor, sometimes with hard truths, but always with heart.

Occasionally, I’ll bring in guest experts to share their perspectives, especially when I’m diving into a series. Because, let’s be honest, none of us know everything (though I like to think I come close when it comes to personal finance ??).

Now that you know what this newsletter is all about, I’d love to hear from you:

  • What topics would you like me to cover?
  • What money, business, or life questions have been on your mind?

Drop a comment, reply, or send me a message. Let’s make this a conversation, not just a one-way street.

And if you enjoy my content here, you’ll love what I share on my Dr. Sev Talks Money YouTube channel and podcast.

Money Truth: If you saved just $27.40 a day, you’d have $10,000 in a year. If you can’t save per day, try saving per week or per month. Small, consistent actions add up; whether it’s saving, investing, or building better money habits. Start where you are, and watch the progress stack up!
