As we approach the end of year 2023, let's strive to conclude the year on a resounding note. Utilize the remaining days of this year to reconnect with family, rejuvenate ourselves, and prepare to embark on another year filled with joy, exhilarating experiences, and continuous learning. Reflecting on the past year, 2023 has been exceptionally memorable for me, marked by meaningful encounters with remarkable individuals across the nation during conferences, meetups, online community cohorts, and exhilarating motorcycle rides.
In the ever-evolving landscape where discussions about #AI and #Agile are pervasive, it becomes imperative to pause and reflect. Are we harnessing technological advancements and methodologies to construct sustainable products for optimal benefits? Or are we adopting them without a nuanced understanding of when and where they should be applied? In my contemplation, I've distilled three key takeaways that I wish to impart for building sustainable products through the integration of #AI and practicing #Agile.
1. Acquire a Profound Understanding of the Core Domain/Industry:
Cultivating domain expertise stands as the foremost and pivotal step in crafting any solution involving AI. Essential questions arise:
This initial inquiry provides a foundational grasp, allowing us to discern potential bottlenecks. It empowers us to make informed decisions about the relevance of #AI in a specific space, guiding us to ascertain whether its implementation is truly warranted.
Delving further, an exciting endeavor is to visualize the workflow, gaining insight into the intricacies of how the business functions.

2. Prioritize Collaboration Over Competition:
Observationally, there exists a spectrum of responses to #AI, ranging from attempts to force-fit it to perceiving it as a threat. However, a more progressive approach is collaboration. For instance, many individuals employ General AI to optimize content creation, generate ideas, and produce AI-generated content.
Looking ahead to 2024, the emphasis should be on elevating collaboration to new heights. Domain experts and AI should synergize to bring to fruition solutions that were once merely speculative. This collaborative spirit should extend beyond individual industries, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaborations to foster innovation, rather than succumbing to shortsighted competitive perspectives. As a leader, I advocate for exploring collaborative opportunities to construct exceptional consumer-centric solutions.
3. Embrace Nimbleness - Foster Swift Learning and Progress:
I strongly advocate establishing framework-agnostic work methodologies that facilitate shorter feedback loops. This approach ensures a consistent pace of learning, enabling the perseverance and prompt pivoting of ideas when necessary. By creating an environment conducive to swift adaptations, we can navigate the complexities of product development more effectively.
