The parallel connection of cells

Have you ever considered parallel connection of cells? In real life, it is very hard to get cells with absolutely equal state of charge (open circuit voltage). What will be a cell behavior in case of different state of charge (SOC) levels?

There are the simulation results below in case of 5% state of charge difference for two same cells.

In this simulation, the first cell has initial SOC=95% and another cell is at SOC=100%.

As we see, within 1000 seconds, state of charge will be equalized by internal self balancing current.
