Paragon Impact
Impact management SDG grading system for partners & organisations to report against Sustainable Development Goals
We are back with another edition of the Creating +Change series, a monthly newsletter covering the latest in sustainability, ESG and impact.
Welcoming New Partners
Recently we announced a partnership with Jersey-based trust and private office, Accuro.?Accuro specialises in the private wealth sector, providing services to trusts, entrepreneurs and family businesses around the globe. It currently manages over US $16.5 billion of assets.?
We are now official members of the UK organisation Bankers for Net Zero.? Founded in 2019, B4NZ is an initiative bringing together banks, businesses and regulators to enable them and their clients to accelerate the transition to net zero. They are the UK Chapter of the UN-Convened Net Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA).
We hope to bring strategic transformation to the banking sector with our cloud-based system which integrates SDG Grading. Watch this space for more!
Awards & Accolades
Thanks to Weightmans , last month we attended the edie Awards 2024 which took place in London on March 9. It was inspiring to see sustainability leaders from various industries celebrate innovation and excellence in environmental practices.??
We’ve also been shortlisted for another award. The shortlist for the sixth annual Jersey TechAwards has been announced and we are delighted to be shortlisted in the Sustainability category, sponsored by Jersey Electricity .
Memorable Events & Features
Amy King , our Chief Sustainability Officer, recently attended the Constellation event at the Houses of Parliament. The group is convened by Rewired Earth to accelerate systemic change, rewiring the financial markets, so they can become the most protective force on the planet. The group was attended by the public and private sectors as well as academia and not-for-profit organisations.
Here's what she had to say about the impactful evening:
"I was impressed with the fluency of sustainability that was being discussed. A few common themes that came out from the discussions were 1 - Culture is a powerful tool to drive systemic change and shift mindsets, 2 - The need for storytelling and to bring positivity through the lens of opportunity. 3 - We need to collectively reimagine what is valuable to us. Paragon +Impact intends to be an active participant in this coalition and help steer our financial systems to ones that value and deliver positive sustainable outcomes."
Amy also was featured in the publication Business Brief by Jersey-based association Institute of Directors (IoD) where she shared her opinion on sustainable businesses in an insightful article. As the Chair of the Environmental Sub-committee, Amy looked at how to align ESG considerations with business practices to prepare for future developments. Click on this link to read her thoughts.
Navigating Complexity Around ESG
At Paragon +Impact, we are constantly striving to simplify the complexities around ESG to help businesses and institutions navigate their way through this ever-evolving field. It’s why we built our system.
Nevertheless,? ESG remains inundated with a mosaic of concepts and jargon. This ESG cheat sheet below breaks down the various themes and sub-themes of E, S and G.? We love the simple explanations and thought we’d share this one we saw recently.

A London Office!
In other news, Paragon has a?new office space in London ??
Last week, we moved to our new office located in the Impact Hub which has just opened in Euston, London.?
We now have some event space to host client meetings, sustainability events and double materiality workshops. We are excited to have an official London office to complement our Jersey and Johannesburg offices. We will be reaching out to introduce ourselves to the London community.
If these photos look empty, that's because the hub is brand new and the offices are filling up fast with other impact companies as we write. We were one of the first companies to move in and are already feeling at home.
If you know anyone you think we should meet, we would be delighted to be introduced. Our co-founder Brett Wallington will be in London in April to make his inaugural visit to the offices and is available to meet.
Contact Leah Bullough ?to arrange a visit to our new offices for a chat (and some tea and cookies).?
