Paradise of Switzerland, Zurich

I was not sure just how to start this post about Zurich, as the largest city of the Swiss Confederation (Switzerland) by land area and population. Life as a digital nomad?in Zurich who is famous for luxurious lifestyles, high-end shopping, and fancy chocolates. However, despite its expense and extravagance, it is also ranked as one of the best cities to live in the world. Zurich is an upmarket banking city and the financial capital of Switzerland. It, therefore, comes as no surprise that it’s often labelled as the most expensive city in the world.

Zurich’s vibrant art scene, many start-ups, tech and art universities make the city an ideal base for anyone looking to get some inspiration during their travels. Whether you’re on your first business trip as I was, or writing the next great novel of our time, this place will get your creativity and productivity flowing.

Zurich Airport is the largest international airport of Switzerland in the location 8058 Kloten which serves Zürich, Switzerland’s largest city and with its surface transport links much of the rest of the country, taxi transport are expensive and largely unnecessary due to the city’s expansive and reliable tram system.

In Zurich I had a feeling that I'm in a safe destination. As a rule, Swiss cities are generally very safe to visit, also as I know from before in Zurich sees very little tourist-directed crime. I was lucky for the weather in Zurich when I was there at the end of October because the summers are comfortable and wet, the winters are very cold, and it is partly cloudy year round, but in my stay, the first days were sunny and the others were cloudy without rain.

The punctuality of trams, trains and buses in Switzerland is legendary. You can almost set your watch to the departure times and many Swiss trust the station clocks more than any others. The train network is fast, reliable and extensive. For getting around in Switzerland, trains are definitely best – from Zurich there are connections to all the major Swiss cities once or twice an hour.

What I saw in my stay in Zurich as more important places which I will remember forever. :)

Zurich West - Is one of the newest and hippest neighbourhoods in town. A former industrial area, Zurich West used to be characterised by abandoned warehouses and dilapidated factories.

The Old Town is the honeypot for tourists, but if you’d like to tap into Zürich’s creative and stylish side this former industrial zone is the go-to. District 5 to the northwest of the Hauptbahhof was a hub for heavy manufacturing until the end of the 20th century.

Little more than a decade ago this was an unpleasant place to be, but its rebirth has been fast and now is one of the best places with a big companies and offices and my main office from my company N47 is there in the industrial side named as Technopark.

Altstadt (Old Town) - Making up the entirety of District 1, Zürich’s historic centre is on both banks of the river Limmat commences at the outfall of? Lake Zürich, this lake is a long and has crescent shaped curves.

The medieval and early modern streets of the Altstadt are where much of the city’s culture, nightlife and shopping is concentrated. It’s one of those places you’re happy to get lost in, to chance upon squares, cafes, quirky one-of-a-kind shops and all manner of historic monuments from the four medieval churches to 17th-century Town Hall.

Lindenhof - Over the left bank of the Limmat in the centre of the city is a hill once crested by a Roman fortress. This elevated spot, shaded by lime trees affords an unbroken view of Zürich’s oldest quarters on the right bank, allowing you to pick out landmarks on the skyline like City Hall, the Grossmünster Church, the university and the waterfront on the Limmat.

The Lindenhof is a serene place now, but has had a busy history: Long after the days of the Roman fort, Charlemagne’s grandson Louis the German built his palace here in the 9th century.

“Don't be afraid to follow your dreams, because that’s your path!”

???? For the end of this post I want to say, Thank you Swiss and N47 for allowing me to experience how it is to be a completely independent woman in the modern 21 century, for giving me the chance to see in a diverse world where being different is an asset and an advantage in a professional and personal manner.

Danke für alles, see you next time, it was a great adventure. Until next time I will spread great words and admiration for this beautiful country, and because I have had the privilege to meet and see a lot of new things, places and meet my colleagues there... ?

Sincerely, Rosi ????
