As a kid I got utterly absorbed in drawing and painting, but above all, I loved making stuff out of paper. I built everything from model trains to planes and greeting cards for the whole family from what ever clean sheets of paper I found.
No technology back then. I developed all my skills with pencil on paper, a pair of scissors and a role of sticky tape or tube of glue.
It's just the same today, starting with just a pencil sketch. One other thing I always loved was cartooning and caricature, being influenced first and foremost by Walt Disney. It was natural one day to come up with my own brand of caricatures, the Paperartzi that combined my love of paper and art. But what they also did was to let me release my particular sense of humour on the world. (Those who know me, experience my constant "joke opportunism" even when I'm seriously present in conversations. That's just me).
So to Galaxy. The drawing was done on the Sketchpad of my phone while hearing a conversation about mediocrity. I make limited personal use of technology, but this app is brilliant, allowing me to capture ideas any where they happen. Is there an opening here to introduce another "Greek Philosopher" by the name of "Technocrates" ?
In a hands on profession such as mine, even "Technocrates" has influenced my philosophy just a bit! Keep smiling
