A rectangular vestibule connects the porch to the rotunda, crowned by a coffered concrete dome with a central oculus that opens to the sky. What’s fascinating is that nearly 2,000 years after its construction, the Pantheon’s dome remains the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world. Its symmetry is awe-inspiring, with the height of the oculus and the diameter of the interior circle measuring 43 meters.
