Panic

Panic hits you at a different level you accept it it’s ok but if you choose to ignore it now it follows you everywhere until you succumb to it.

Panic happens when you allow yourself to be dependent on others or on things in someway or the other. Panic is a different language where the mind body and emotions have gone haywire. All three of it are hijacked and replaced with fear because the bearer cannot withstand to feel the anguish and pain and chooses to succumb to panic.

Biju was ecstatic when he held the baby boy in his arms in the hospital standing next to his wife’s bed. Elated, joyful and mesmerised all at the same time, as he held his own piece of flesh, alive and kicking. The proud parents were attached, thrilled at the same time and did everything to become the doting dad and mum.

There world was revolving around their little son and his life and that was the choice they made. The son went to school the mother waited to pick him after school. The son was trained in all sport forms and extra curricular activities. The father followed him everywhere like a proud peacock.

Biju may be busy but he never took his eyes off his only son and did set a new trend by being like a second shadow to his son. At least the little kid enjoyed all the attention and the household was buzzing.

The guy grew up to be a handsome lad, a charming personality and well educated in his own field . An eligible bachelor and a handsome young man a fine catch for a young girl. The aspirations were straight forward they were unperturbed they wanted the son to get married. The son too was ready to embrace this new journey.

In a parallel world Biju had given up on all his relationships with his near and dear ones. His world was his only child and the thought of not seeing him was heart breaking. The boy was leaving to live the “American dream”.?

At least the boy’s world was not revolving around his father it was around his own dreams. The usual happened the little bird left the nest to make his own living and rear a new family to call his own. Panic gripped Biju’s heart.?

Panic can drive you to do things which you had never thought of in your dreams and thus out of panic Biju did what he thought was best suited.

Biju wanted to be closer to his hearts desire and so shifted to US of A and started living with his son and his daughter in law. The focus was to be closer to his world but the boy had got busy with his own world where his father was taken for granted.?

Clashes happened every now and then between father and daughter in law and a sourness seeped in the relationship. The father and daughter in law were no more in talking terms and a decision was pending.

Panic gripped hard and the old man succumbed to it. The idea of moving back and leaving his only son just to keep matters from getting worse hit him hard. An overbearing reality that the son will never return back to the motherland made him feel sick to the pit. The body couldn’t take it anymore nor was the mind in sync and stroke happened the father was partially paralysed with a problem of partial dementia. He gave in to the panic.

Panic has a problem of clinging on to the unrealistic expectations which will falter sooner or later. Expectations will always hurt irrespective of any circumstance. The person gripped by panic will set forth to appease the subject to any level. The reality of the person is he or she is too much invested and entangled with the subject but they forget the other is also a piece of life or has its own way of behaving if it is an object of concern . In this case the father was deeply invested and entangled with his son on the other hand son had his own aspirations and realities to cater to there was a connect but it cannot overshadow the reality.

Panic if felt at all must be explored by self because the cause can be deep rooted and the acceptance is zero and thus it settles in you quite well. In case the need be talk to a coach… Happy Coaching !!!
