It has been an honour to represent the Executive Committee of the Global Young Academy (GYA) at the 2021 workshop on 'Reducing the Precarity of Academic Research Careers' organised by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Department of Science and Innovation of the Republic of South Africa.
Our 'Global Perspectives' panel brought together the experiences and proposals of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC); the Observatory of Research and Scientific Careers in Belgium; the Science and Technology Policy Institute in Korea; the Chilean Academy of Sciences and the GYA.
