PANDA farewells outgoing Board Chair Nicki Batagol, welcomes Ben Lannan as new Board Chair
PANDA - Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia
Reaching out is the first step.
One of the biggest changes for us this year behind the scenes has been farewelling our wonderful Board Chair of four years, Nicki Batagol. Nicki joined the board in 2011 and has contributed thousands of volunteer hours during that time. She has worked with PANDA as we have grown from a small service with five full time staff to a national helpline that in 2021 delivered more than 42,500 contacts to families reaching out for help in the perinatal period. Nicki has been instrumental in key PANDA highlights including launching the Community Champions program, growing our corporate partnerships and recruiting specialist staff to our organisation.
Ben Lannan has been Deputy Chair for the past four years and has worked closely with Nicki during 2021 to take over the reins prior to formally taking up the Chair role at our November 2021 AGM. Ben has wealth of experience and passion and has been part of PANDA since 2015, bringing decades of leadership in corporate consulting, culture change, staff communications and engagement.
The team at PANDA would like to take this opportunity to thank Nicki for being a important part of the rich tapestry of our amazing organisation, wishing her the very best for the future, while warmly welcoming Ben to the role of Chair.
